About Utku Kaynar

Utku Kaynar was born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1979.

A mechanical engineer (Mba) by education, he’s devoted his time to photography and multimedia.

Living and working in Bursa, Turkey; he’s chairman of Bursa Photographic Art Society since 2008. He’s also head of international relations committee for Turkish Photographic Art Federation since 2011.

Utku Kaynar was a part of Foundry Photojournalism Workshop organisation team in 2010, Istanbul.

An avid documentary photographer by the heart, Kaynar has attended workshops by those valuable instructors :

Mary Ellen Mark – Portrait (ICP, New York, 2008)
Jane Evelyn Atwood – Photo Essay (ICP, New York, 2008)
Özcan Yurdalan – Documentary Photography (Bursa, 2009)
Merih Akogul – Various workshops including color, documentary and contemporary photography
